International payments include payments made with your physical payment card while abroad and online purchases made in a foreign currency. Moss uses the Mastercard exchange rate when making international payments. Find an overview of the information relevant to payments made in a foreign currency in the section below.
Mastercard (as well as other card networks) set the exchange rates used for international transactions with their cards. These exchange rates are based on the minimum exchange rates set by the European Central Bank (ECB), but are higher than the ECB exchange rates. Banks are required to display the ECB exchange rates as well as any additional rates and fees that may be added to help you make the best decision. At Moss we are committed to transparency and will show you Mastercard's exchange rates so you can see straight away that we are not charging you any additional fees. Exchange rates may vary and may change between the time you make a transaction and the time it is debited from your available balance. You agree that any changes in exchange rates will apply immediately, even without notifying you.
